With the chassis assembly done it was time to turn the attention to the bodywork. It had already been primed (black) and had received a layer of rust colors. It was now time for the actual paint layer and some chipping and rust effects. So I gave the body parts a coat of chipping fluid, and when that had dried, a layer of the primary body color.
When the primary color had dried I started to remove parts of it by brushing it with water. Since the color and the chipping fluid are water solvable they will start to flake away revealing the rust below. Like this.
I finished this step by spraying the whole thing with Tamiya Flat Clear to seal it all. And once that was done it was time to merge the body with the chassis.
